Adonis Golden Ratio Review – Aesthetics by Numbers?

Adonis Golden Ratio Review – Aesthetics by Numbers?

There are literally gazillions of websites with workout plans, diets, and tips out there. Bodybuilding.com alone has thousands of articles.

But the problem is that many of these workout programs don’t help most people.

Many times there are contradictions within a website or even within an article. One bodybuilding.com article will say to not eat carbs while another one says you need plenty of carbs for bulking. Many articles say to focus on compound exercises, yet all the pros seem to use isolation exercises.

It is confusing! And it doesn’t work! Have you ever felt that way?

If you are like me, you’ve probably spent weeks, months, or even years “working out” but not seeing any results. That is because you have been spinning your wheels trying to add mass wherever you could without having specific goals.

This usually leads to two options. Either you struggle to add size anywhere, or you manage to pack on too much mass in some areas (such as legs) while not having enough mass other places (chest, arms) so you have a bulky, unproportional, and unaesthetic body.

But…what if you could figure out your ideal measurements using a simple math formula? And then you could use specific exercises to train specific areas so you can look like a chiseled greek god?

Bodybuilding Math: The Adonis Golden Ratio

Rumor has it that many famous artists used a specific formula to shape the men in their sculptures and paintings. This number was chosen specifically to create a “manly” man that has mass in just the right places to look proportional, lean, and strong.

This formula is called the Adonis Golden Ratio.

Basically you need your shoulder width to be exactly 1.618x bigger than your waist size. If you can do this, you will have that classic “V taper” that shows a big strong upper body without having a lot of mass on your waist.

As an example, take a look at the picture below.

Hugh Jackman (Wolverine in many movies) and Ryan Reynolds (also in many action movies) have bodies that many men would like to have. That is because they have narrow waists with broad shoulders.

If you can cut some fat to have a lean waist while still being strong and having a proportionate upper body, you will have that classic Hollywood action hero look that men and women love.

Of course, the waist to shoulder ratio is just one part of the Adonis rule. There are other parts of the body that use this ratio too.

The Adonis Golden Ratio System Review

If you are interested in using these classic proportions to build a strong and lean body, then you should check out the program called The Adonis Golden Ratio System.

What makes this system different from everything else you’ve seen is that it uses software to “customize” your program for you. Once a week you can use the software to enter your age, height, weight, activity level, and body measurements.

Based on that information the software will create a custom workout program for you that will help you reach your goals (aka. focus on the parts that need to grow the most to reach that perfect ratio). There are plenty of instructions and videos to help you with each exercise.

Your workouts are only half the battle, though. Nutrition is just as important.

Based on the stats you type in each week, the software will give you a nutrition plan for that week. This includes goals for calorie intake, macronutrients, and food selection tips, etc.

It is a great system that can definitely help you break away from all the trash spouted on many popular bodybuilding sites. However, nothing is ever perfect, so let me break down some of the pros and cons of the Adonis Golden Ratio system.

The Bad Points:

  • This ratio is only a goal to shoot for. You shouldn’t worry about using the formula to match your numbers exactly and stressing out if you are a half inch off. Just try to get approximately 1.6 times bigger in the corresponding areas.
  • Price…costs $47 which seems like a lot considering many websites have free information…but then again, how well did the free sites help you before?

The Good Points:

  • It is not a “one size fits all” generic plan. Using this software, everything is customized for you so you can focus on your specific needs and goals. You can also update it once a week so you are always getting the right amount of nutrients, doing the right exercises, etc.
  • Mobile support. There is an app so you can have this information on your computer, tablet, or phone. Use the website at home, or use the app when you are at the gym!
  • Private community. You also get access to a member’s area where people can ask questions and discuss what is working best for them. It’s not quite like having a personal trainer, but it is still very useful to get some feedback.

Conclusion…Is it worth the money?

That depends. If you are a meathead who just wants to add as much size all over your body as possible and bench press 500+ lbs, then this probably isn’t for you. If you aren’t willing to put in the effort, then this isn’t for you either.

But if you are tired of the “overkill” routines listed on most bodybuilding sites and want to break away from the mold to try something that will only add mass to the right areas, this may be the perfect option for you. If you want to be strong and lean but not freakishly big, this is for you.

Well, I hope this Adonis Golden Ratio review has been helpful. You will have to decide if it is right for you or not. But if you are interested in a classic Hollywood body with nice proportions and a V-taper, then this is one of the best programs available.
